And should the burden be too great to bear beyond my own endurance, a thousand spirits just like mine are there to offer comfort to my soul ‘til I have rested, gathered strength to raise the torch once more.

When at last I lay me down, then at my journey’s end, I will have drained the cup of life and drunk the last drop from it. I will have ascended the heights of ecstasy and joy and plumbed the depths of sorrow and pain. I will have faced down hopelessness and despair in my darkest hour. Like the Phoenix I will have risen from the ashes and conquered all, for my foundation is built of all in the universe. My inner house will stand forever.

I am at peace in any storm for I can reach inside myself and know I will be raised up above its angry blast and once again prevail.

In praise of being I stand in awe of all the gifts life has to give. My reverie fills my soul and I feel that I can touch the very stars, if only I reach out. I must reach out – I must reach out, to make this feeling last.

The brilliance that surrounds me even in adversity lights the path to my retreat – to the house that I have built.

In my secret garden pixies play among the trees and giant flowers. The trees reach for the sun. On the coldest day amid the storm, I am welcome in the garden of my mind and find warmth and gladness and wellbeing to comfort my soul.
