I never thought it would be so hard to break the chains that bind me. But having tasted from the cup, I cannot falter in my steps.

My path burns as a bed of coals. Oh God – the pain – the searing pain – the scars will never heal. Yet in my anguish I summon my spirits to my aid so I may endure, accept and yes, prevail.

Deeply etched within my being, my fire burns in constant vigil. Never again will I be taken from myself – my very being – the precious one I have finally found.

Beware the evil witch – the Old Hag of the sky, for she is the one disguised as the dark moon with conduits cast upon the earth to devour her unsuspecting prey. So keep a sharp eye when you gaze at the moon, lest your mortal soul be swallowed whole – never to be seen again.

My courage grows, as does my strength – to face the onslaught of the evil forces sent to challenge my resolve. I am prepared – no, I am compelled to gamble all to claim my prize.
